Chev Chelios gets into a difficult situation, during an unsuccessful fall, the main character falls into a coma and is between life and death. He is urgently brought to the hospital, where the heart is replaced with an artificial unit capable of prolonging his life as long as possible, so that the rest of the organs can be removed later. During the careful work of the doctors, the patient suddenly comes to himself, and being in shock begins to scatter everyone, trying to get rid of their hands. As soon as he gets out of captivity, he tries to force the location of his heart to take it back. But only now a not entirely pleasant story happened to Chev, as soon as he went in search of his motor, his electronic counterpart begins to squeak mercilessly. This fact confuses him, he understands that this should not be the case and urgently goes to his old friend Doc Miles. He carefully studies the problem and informs the man that his battery is gradually running out, and when it loses its charge, he will have to die.

The reason for such a rapid discharge is the damage caused by Chev during a fierce fight in the hospital, and now she is sitting down at an incredibly fast speed. The only way to support the work of an artificial heart is to constantly recharge it, and this requires physical contact with any current source. Quite by chance, he meets Don Kim, who tells Chev that his heart is already inside the body of a seriously ill Poon Don. As soon as the main character receives detailed information, he goes to the unfortunate and kills him in order to withdraw his long-awaited organ back. It seems that everything should have ended quickly and a good end would come, but quite unexpectedly he falls into the brutal hands of Veronica's brother, after which he is severely beaten. It seems that this is the end and life has stopped forever, but in fact the story only continues.
