Nayakan (1987)

Hiralal is the ordinary driver of the autorickshaw adoring movies. All his life - imitation and dreams of cinema. Living in dreams about a screen, he is the bachelor who is looking for love of all the life. Unexpectedly to the small city where he lives, there comes the film crew. Before shootings the crowd of gapers, and right there - the hero Hiralal gathers. He strikes up acquaintance to the promising starlet Rapoy. The brine likes its simplicity, and she communicates with it as with the friend, but Hiralal by mistake counted it as love. But, having wakened from dreams and having realized reality, Hiralal decides that, maybe, his life and is possible, but worthless death is not necessary to him too!

By means of the advertizing agent Raney Sitara Davy, Hiralal plans for himself magnificent death. Billboards and posters on all city invite all to one to observe the one and only Hiralal's death. The announced day of death comes. Crowds of people - an anticipation in air, are relied, the city fills rumors. It will be solved or not?...
