True Grit (2010)

Mattie Ross at the age of fourteen felt what it was like to lose a loved one forever. Her father was killed by Tom Cheney when he went to Arkansas to buy a new horse. The girl comes for the body of the deceased and asks the sheriff of the city how things are going with the search for the criminal, to which she receives an answer that the killer fled with his companions to the territory of the Indians. Mattie does not want to miss the opportunity to take revenge on the man who deprived her of her father and therefore hires a "Bully" to go with him in search of a fugitive.

Setting off, they meet La Beef, who offers her partner to go with him in search of Cheyne and Cogburn agrees, realizing that he will be paid much more there. But they did not have to travel for long, a number of circumstances again forced him to return back to Matty. The daughter chose not an easy way to honor the memory of her relative, she does not even imagine how hard it can become for her in this battle, because she will have to constantly see the death of people, even if not the best.
